Required Courses

Dr. Pete Fulé teaching on a FOR 382 Ecological Restoration field trip.
- Undergraduate Research Assistants learn about restoration theory, techniques and practices by completing FOR 382/382H: Ecological Restoration.
- Though students cannot major in ecological restoration, FOR 382 can count as a liberal studies elective, as a major requirement, or as a focus area course depending on your program of study. FOR 382 counts in the Science/Applied Science liberal studies block except for Forestry majors.
- Students have the exciting opportunity to complete a paid senior project consisting of either an internship or research project. Senior projects must be fulfilled as a university course and can be taken as FOR 408 Fieldwork Experience or FOR 485 Undergraduate Research, or an equivalent course in the students major (BIO 485/ENV 485/PRM 408.) Students must prepare a final paper consisting of a professional senior thesis or a summary report as well as make an oral presentation on their senior project.
