All students are required to attend monthly meetings with ERI staff. Students are paid to attend. The purpose of the meetings is to review ERI policies, explain work priorities, learn firsthand about upcoming events and conferences, hear presentations from fellow students, and have fun while getting to know each other better. Students are also invited to attend the Monday Buffet meetings to expand their knowledge about local research, careers in restoration, and to interact with employees of the ERI who may be less familiar to them. Attendance is not mandatory but strongly encouraged. Again, students can count attendance at these meetings on their timesheets.
